Experience: This is the most scenic way to reach Preveli Beach.
From the designated parking area (near but not at the Piso Preveli Monastery) above the beach, a well-trodden footpath leads down the cliffside, offering spectacular panoramic views of the coastline, the Libyan Sea, and the palm forest.
The descent can be steep, and the climb back up can be strenuous, so it’s best to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring plenty of water.
2. The Easier Route via Drimiskiano Ammoudi Beach (east)
Distance & Time: A short walk (5-10 minutes) from Drimiskiano Ammoudi Beach
Difficulty: Easy
Experience: If you prefer an easier route, you can drive to Drimiskiano Ammoudi Beach, where there is a parking lot.
From there, you can walk along the coast and reach Preveli Beach with minimal effort.
This route is ideal for families, those with limited mobility, or visitors who prefer to avoid a steep hike.
Additionally, during the summer season, small boats operate from Plakias and Agia Galini, offering a scenic and hassle-free boat ride to Preveli Beach.
Visitor Information
